Not all playgrounds are created equal. Here we list our fave playgrounds in Noosa.

Pirate Park, Noosaville Lions Park
Where:
144 Gympie Terrace, Noosaville
Why we love it:
This playground ticks all parental boxes. For starters, it’s located beside the river in a beautiful park where there’s lots of shady trees. As well as a fantastic climbing frame, there is a variety of fun play equipment that caters to a wide range of ages. The best part is that the kids have the option of jumping into the river when they get hot and sweaty and/or going for a bike or scooter cruise along the paved promenade. There are plenty of trees for climbing, sand for digging and a few little shops close by, so you can stop for a drink or ice-cream on a hot summer’s day. If you’re really adventurous, you can even go fishing from one of the nearby jetty’s.
Lions Park, Hastings Street
Where:
Corner of Noosa Parade and Noosa Drive.
Why we love it:
This cute little playground is conveniently located close to Hastings Street, so is a great place for kids to play once you’ve finished on the beach. The park is located on the corner of the river, so you can either drive there and use the adjoining carpark; hire a boat and park on the beach alongside the playground; or jump in a kayak with your littles and paddle up to the park. Positioned next to a grassy oval, Lions Park is the perfect place to kick a ball around or have a picnic while the kids run off steam. There are also a few barbeques and covered picnic tables, so you can cook up some snags if you’re throwing a birthday party.
Dick Caplick Park, Eumundi
Where:
80 Memorial Drive, Eumundi
Why we love it:
Set among a family of shady fig trees alongside the famous Eumundi Markets, lies one of Noosa’s best playgrounds. Catering to kids of all ages, this beautiful play area is home to a timber fort and rope bridge (that is suspended between 2 trees), swings, spinners, a cute train (that is a huge hit with toddlers!), see-saw, rocking animals, a towering climbing frame and slide for bigger children. The park is completely shaded and because there is so many play stations, kids can keep themselves busy for hours while you sip on a coffee on the sidelines.
Peregian Beach Park
Where:
Kingfisher Drive, Peregian Beach
Why we love it:
As well as a great climbing structure and swing set, this playground is set alongside a park with low-set trees that are great for climbing. In addition to the play area, there is a skate park, so littles (or teens) on wheels can scoot or skate to their heart’s content. It’s also a stone’s throw from the beach and across the road from Peregian Village, so you can always grab a coffee or snack before or after you’re play sesh. If you want some quality family time, head to the Peregian Beach Markets (held next to the playground every 1st and 3rd Sunday), and set up a picnic on the grass while the young one’s frolic.
Tickle Park, Coolum Beach
Where:

Why we love it:
One of the best things about this playground is that it’s located right next to Coolum Beach, so you can enjoy beach vibes in a park setting. There is a huge climbing frame for the bigger kids along with swings, slides, a see-saw and spinning wheels for the smaller ones. When you’re done playing, you can either set up a picnic in the park, run down to the beach for a swim or walk over to the shops (which are just across the street) for a snack and stroll.
