Welcome to the the Mumsie.

Everything you need for your first wear, and every one after it. How to wear it, how to carry safely, how to keep it looking good, and where to find us if you need a hand.

How to wear it

Your mumsie is a proper pair of overalls first, and a carrier when you need one. Wear it before baby arrives, loosening the side buttons and dropping it lower on your hips as your bump grows. Clip baby in once they're ready, and keep wearing it long after they're walking.

Because it's a whole new way to carry, it's worth a quick how-to before your first wear. Our videos cover tying the sling, getting baby's weight sitting right across your hips, and adjusting the straps for a snug, comfortable fit.

Babywearing Safety

The mumsie is recognised by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute as hip-healthy when worn as directed, and independently tested to United States and European safety standards. The bib is shaped to hold baby's knees higher than their bottom in the natural "M" position, with the sling adding soft support around their legs.

We recommend starting from around four months, once baby has good head control. Have a read of the full safety guide and the TICKS checklist before your first carry - it covers weight limits, carrying positions, and how to keep baby's airways clear.

Caring for your mumsie

Give your mumsie a wash before its first wear. Turn it inside out, close all the fasteners, and machine wash cold with like colours. Indigo can bleed a little at first and will soften in colour over time, which is exactly what good denim does.

Like all denim, your mumsie wears in about half a size and shrinks back with a wash, so a snug first fit is normal. Check the fasteners are working after every wash and before every carry. Looked after, it'll be loved and re-loved for years.
